Students interested in applying to the program must commit to attending all meetings with up to one excused absence. Due to the collaborative nature of the experience, students must be willing to work in a group and dedicate time to meet and consult with their group members to review the literature and work on their project. Tuesday virtual meetings will introduce concepts of science practices and data analysis that students can further explore as they conduct their own research. Students who are inquisitive, self-directed, work well in groups, and willing to speak in front of an audience of (kind) adults are encouraged to apply.
Applications open Monday, April 6, 2026 and are due Monday, April 27, 2026 at noon. Acceptance into the program will be announced via personal emails on Monday, May 11. There will be a mandatory meeting for all accepted participants and their parent/guardian Wednesday, May 20 in Room 264 at 3:00 p.m. A make up zoom session will be available Wednesday, May 20 at 7:00 p.m..
